New Membership System

Hello OACYC Website Users,

As of September 12, 2022 the OACYC’s new membership management system (Membee) has launched! As part of making this launch as smooth as possible we would like to share some information on usage of the new system as well as some tips and tricks.

Renewing Members (Professional/Student/Organization)

  • All memberships expired as of Sep 1, 2022 as such you should have received two emails. The first with a link to create your new password for the members area and the second with a link to your renewal invoice.
    • If you did not get the email simply press ‘Forgot Password’ on the login screen and it will resend the email. If you are unsure of the email address you used please contact office@oacyc.org
  • Upon login to the new membership portal you will notice that the first tile is called Payment portal (See Tips & Tricks) and the second tile now takes you to an area to update your profile. This includes email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses etc.
    • If the new member portal is not working as expected please email bugs@oacyc.org with the error you are getting as well as a screenshot if possible

New Members (Professional/Student/Organization)

  • All new applications start at the Become a Member Page from there select the type of membership you are applying for by pressing one of the three buttons. From there questions will depend on the type of membership application.
  • You will notice that as you start typing your employer (If applicable) that it will begin to list orgs that we have on file. If your employer is listed please select them, if not enter the full organization name.

Tips & Tricks

  • When attempting to login you might see an error message saying “Please enable Third Party Cookies” Or something similar. Cookies in this context allow our website/your browser to communicate with Membee and let you login. Membee has provided a step by step guide on how to fix this error for several popular web browsers.
  • When you submit a new membership application or a renewal an invoice email with payment link is sent to your email address on file. If you do not receive the email, do not worry! You can access any outstanding invoices in the payment portal on the OACYC website, which is found in the members portal.
  • As part of the new system you will soon be able to opt-in to a membership directory. This directory will be publicly accessible and allow members to showcase their contact info as well as membership with the OACYC & any other credentials you may have.

We are excited to work together with our members and partners to make the best use of this new system.

Yours in Partnership,

The OACYC Board of Directors
